Es ist ein schweres Erbe, wenn man eine Sage mit 15 Emmys, ein Golden Globe und drei BAFTA-Awards zu einem w\u00fcrdigen Finale f\u00fchren muss. Das gilt sowohl aus filmischer als auch aus inhaltlicher Sicht. Die Sage begann 1912 in der Zeit des Untergangs der Titanic und findet ihr Finale im Jahr 1930. Das sind zwar nur 18 Jahre, aber es gab gro\u00dfe Ver\u00e4nderungen und diese sind das gro\u00dfe Thema des Films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ver\u00e4nderungen werden ja aus aktueller Sicht immer schneller, gr\u00f6\u00dfer und bedrohlicher. Wenn man in Downton Abbey aber sieht wie schnell, gro\u00df und bedrohlich die Figuren die Ver\u00e4nderungen empfinden, dann merken wir schnell, dass dies damals sehr \u00e4hnlich war. Einige wirken dabei sehr klein, so wie eine der ersten Scheidungen in Adelskreisen. Andere wie die Wirtschaftskrise wirken katastrophal und waren es wohl auch, aber es ging danach weiter. Mit dieser Erkenntnis aus dem Film gehen wir nachdenklich aus dem Kinosaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bis dahin tauchen wir aber noch voll und ganz in die Welt von 1930 in England ein. Die Ausstattung ist riesig und sehr detailgetreu. Man k\u00f6nnte aus jeder Szene ein Gem\u00e4lde machen. Licht, Kost\u00fcme, Atmosph\u00e4re und vieles mehr ist hier perfekt in Szene gesetzt. Schon die erste Szene ist ein langer One-Shot und nimmt uns als Zuschauende mit in die Welt von London, Piccadilly-Circus um 1930. Man kann sehr genau nachempfinden, wie es damals war und dieses Gef\u00fchl begleitet einem durch den ganzen Film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die ganze Geschichte hat auch etliche teilweise \u00fcberraschende Wendungen, l\u00e4uft aber zwangsweise und erwartungsgem\u00e4\u00df auf ein w\u00fcrdiges Ende hinaus. Viel Menschlichkeit und G\u00fcte sind in diesem Film enthalten und am Ende siegt das Gute. Ein w\u00fcrdiges Finale mit Stil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
